The classic WLFR project 45° is finally available in the ConceptsAssociated boutique!

Dating back to 1993, 45° is one of the first ever projects of WLFR. It extends the duchampian idea of the readymade to the world of symbolic signs, removing rather than adding meaning from/to the original object.

The title of the work nods to Duchamp's (and Von Freitag's) Fountain from 1917 (tilted 90°) as well as to the general reaction of the viewer: either one doesn't recognise the original object, or one does but does not know what is actually changed. The readymade also refers to Malevich's famous red and black squares (1915) as the end of painting, or even the physical making of art.

45° is available in different dimensions and variations ranging from € 250 (ca. 27x27cm) to € 800 (ca. 68x68cm) and comes with a numbered authenticity seal on the back.
